Overview

This custom guided canoe trip has been a specialty of Algonquin Outfitters since 1961. A guided canoe trip is ideal for families or groups of friends seeking the extra level comfort that comes with traveling with an experienced, personable and knowledgeable guide. Each trip is custom-designed to the expectations, experience, abilities and interests of the client.
A guided trip allows the first-timer to comfortably experience what, for many, can be an intimidating and easily underestimated wilderness environment. People with previous canoe-camping or wilderness travel experience find that having a guide along helps them build new skills and possibly undertake a more challenging route than they would on their own. Families discover that having a guide there to take care of the nitty-gritty details of the trip allows them more time to enjoy and share the special wilderness experiences found in Algonquin Park.

What Guests Are Saying

My cousin and his wife and daughter recently visited from Germany and wanted to canoe and camp in the real wilderness. I haven't camped since I was, like, 10, and didn't have any gear to speak of, but Algonquin Outfitters made everything super easy. Danke schön, guys!
