Off the Beaten Path Alabama

Off The Beaten Path Alabama is a kayak and canoe rental business that also offers shuttle services to waterways in east central Alabama. It began in spring of 2016 by retired Lee County Extension Agent Chuck Browne. Chuck has floated the creeks, rivers and waterways of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina for the last 40 years.

Overview

Experience spectacular fall colors, view bald eagles soaring above the river valley, turtles, beavers, blue herons, rare shoal lilies and numerous species of flowering plants and trees on the Harold Banks Canoe Trail. Paddle through the "horseshoe" of the canoe trail past the site of the last battle between the Creek Indians and General Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States.
