Overview

A 5-day canoe camping trip into Well Gray Provincial Park, BC for students who are interested in outdoor adventure and are interested in turning their passion into a career. Come paddle the pristine waters of the Clearwater Lake and learn more about TRU's Adventure Guide program. Open to high school students across Canada who are 16-18 years old.

Meeting Place

Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, BC

Day 1: Meet at the TRU campus for pre-trip meeting, campus tour and BBQ. Pack and inspect equipment. Drive to put in. Day 2-5: Canoeing and camping. Day 6: Canoeing. Return to Kamloops. Parents/ guardians to pick-up students.

High School Canoe Trip- Wells Gray, BC

June 27- July 2, 2020
All canoe and camping equipment. All meals while on trip. All backcountry camping fees. Certified instructors. Transportation to and from Wells Gray. Lunch in Kamloops on Day 1.
All canoe and camping equipment provided. Participants must supply the following: personal camping equipment (sleeping system and clothing), transportation to and from Kamloops, BC, and accommodation while in Kamloops.
During the canoe trip participants will be wilderness camping in tents with limited services. Participants are responsible for their own accommodation in Kamloops before and after the trip.
Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Kamloops. Kamloops is accessible by car and air, with limited bus services.
