Overview

Intimately explore this beautiful coastal area by kayak and experience some of the most accessible and beautiful white sand beaches in Nova Scotia! After a brief orientation, we'll paddle through the calm waters of Jones Cove where seals are often found sunbathing at mid tide. We'll pass Mink Island en route to Spectacle Island and it's wooden lighthouse (circa 1873). Keep your eyes on the water and cameras ready for porpoises breaching the surface of the water.

Learn about the areas unique history and discover waterways only accessible at certain tide heights. Depending on the winds, we'll either explore the southern islands, including Port Mouton Island, or spend time on Carters Beach, arguably the most pristine white sand beach in Nova Scotia.
