Overview

Have a teen who needs a break to figure out life? Our Teen Trips open up opportunities for youth to have fun and grow skill sets while sea kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, canyoneering, and/or backpacking. These wilderness adventures span through Utah, Montana and Washington, ranging from 7 to 33 days. BWE guides support personal development, learning new technical skills, and transferring skills back into the home. Get your teen unplugged and playing outside!

Our programming is fun, dynamic, and strength-based. We work with families and teens to set goals that fit the individual as well as the group. The intention of our trips are to support young people in creating healthy friendships, explore their own sense of self, develop transferable skills to take back home, and learn how to live and play responsibly in remote wilderness areas. Our mode of transportation will be by sea kayak, canoe, and boots! Explore the Green River in Utah and then head to Moab for canyoneering and climbing. Or choose to backpack Yellowstone and float the Missouri River in Montana. And if you like the ocean, choose the San Juan Islands for sea kayaking. We offer these trips annually in the month of July. Each trip is different. But the general flow for all of them is: Day 1 - We pick up students from the designated airport and transport to our starting location. Last Day - Drop off at designated airport or other pre-determined place.

Teen Summer Paddling Trips

Packages - +

Combine any of our 3 trips for a discount: $400 off when you register for 2 trips! $600 off when you register for all of 3 trips! Students will transition with guides between destinations.

Food - Meals and Snacks throughout the experience. We accommodate for dietary restrictions too. Transportation - From pick up to drop off at the destination airport. We travel in a 15 passenger van. Gear - A packing list for personal items will be provided to participant. We will provide the camping gear and the gear needed for the activities. Guides - Two professional wilderness instructors, medically trained, and years of experience guiding young people in remote wilderness.
