Discovery Sea Kayaks is based in downtown Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. We offer a variety of guided kayaking tours ranging from several hours to multiple days of fully-catered camping. Committed to providing guests with the highest quality experience, we operate small-group tours with top-notch gear and professional guides. Our daily tours paddle the scenic west side of San Juan, with views of Lime Kiln Lighthouse, the Olympic mountains, and a variety of potential wildlife encounters. Overnight camping tours include all the gear as well as fresh-made locally-sourced meals. Bioluminescence Kayak Tour, we’ve been operating safe, educational, nighttime experiences for over a decade.

Overview

Discovery Sea Kayaks have been running their bioluminescent kayak tours in the San Juan Islands for a decade, giving them ample experience on the water at night and allowing them to provide a high-quality and safe experience. You’ll launch just before sunset to enjoy the rich colors as the sun dips below the horizon. As twilight fades to darkness, green sparkles will become noticeable throughout the water.
