Unique in the world of white water rafting the OWL experience on the Ottawa River combines a full-day descent of the famous Rocher Fendu rapids, with a return cruise aboard our Pontoon Boat enjoying a freshly grilled BBQ meal. Stay with us before and after your Rafting Trip. OWL's 25 acre Lakeside Resort is the hub of all our activities that culminates the day on the river with a truly special experience for our guests. We offer affordable overnight accommodations in rustic cabins or waterfront camping for tents and RVs.

Overview

This 3 Day Soft Adventure Whitewater Rafting & Resort Package includes a fun whitewater rafting trip and a day spent at the OWL waterfront resort playing and relaxing. This trip is geared for everyone including seniors and families with children. The whitewater rafting day is spent descending 8km of beautiful scenery and tumbling whitewater, interspersed with quiet pools where you get to body surf and float in the friendly warm waters.

Experience the great Canadian river trip – this is a travel-path forged by First Nations, traversed by fur traders since the 1600’s and fostered by foresters at the turn of the last century. An introduction to whitewater is a full day natural roller coaster where you’ll paddle as a team – your experienced guide steers from the stern – all you have to do is listen for directions, join in and have fun. This soft adventure trip descends 8 km of beautiful scenery and tumbling whitewater, interspersed with quiet pools where you get to body surf and float in the friendly warm waters. As the currents calm down, we transfer to the comfort of our signature Pontoon Boat to enjoy a freshly grilled meal. Relax and reenergize while you cruise back to the OWL Resort and take in the beauty of the Canadian Shield. At the resort a video presentation will let you relive your day’s adventure. Arrive the day before your rafting trip. Check in at 5pm. Rafting Day: 8am Breakfast, 11:30am Lunch, 12-6pm Rafting, 6pm BBQ Dinner Cruise Resort Day: 8am Breakfast, 12pm Lunch, Enjoy the Resort!

Day 1:

5:00pm Arrive the day before your rafting trip – Check in at the Office Set up camp or settle into your Cabin / Cabana. Enjoy a fire in the pavilion or down by the water.

Day 2:

8:00am Breakfast Enjoy the Resort 11:30am Lunch 12-6pm Rafting Trip 6pm BBQ Dinner Cruise – At the bottom of the rapids you will meet our signature Pontoon Boats where your dry clothes and a hot BBQ feast awaits you. Enjoy your meal as you cruise back to the OWL Resort. 7pm Trip Video

Day 3:

8:30am Breakfast Enjoy the Resort -Our beach with kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and a swim dock is waiting! Play frisbee golf, volleyball, and horseshoes, bring your bikes for our pump track, or get lost in the maze on your way to feeding our chicken and pigs. 12pm Lunch

We chose the soft adventure. Our guide Collin was really great and knew his way around the river and made sure we had the most exhilarating experience. We had a BBQ lunch on the way back on a Pontoon and the food was really yummy and made from scratch by the team. I would definitely recommend OWL Rafting!
