North Pole, Alaska
1st day: meet with guides & trip group, drive to put in, paddle first part of trip, set up camp, have dinner, & camp for the night. 2nd day: breakfast, take down camp & load up boats, paddle, portage & lunch, paddle, find campsite. 3rd day: breakfast, paddle, lunch, paddle, takeout & go back to town
Day 1:
Meet in North Pole, AK or other meeting location such as put in spot (discussed in advance). If meeting in North Pole, pack up all equipment in vehicle and drive to put in location. Suit up for first day of paddling and take to the water. Stop at first campsite for dinner and camping for the night.
Day 2:
Wake up and have breakfast. Take down camp and load up boats for second day of paddling. Second day includes completing the lakes, portage (lunch typically occurs before or after the portage), and rapids. Guide will choose a campsite dependent on daylight hours left and other trip factors.
Day 3:
Breakfast, then third and last day of paddling. Sites to see: the Denali Fault and "Fossil Island". Take out at Mile ?, load up van, and head back to town.
