Overview

Join us for a rare chance to participate in an exciting paddling and hiking expedition on the Bonnet Plume River deep in the Yukon wilderness. This 350 km journey is regarded by wilderness canoeists as the most technical and scenic of the 4 rivers of the Peel watershed.
This Canadian Heritage River winds through the dramatic landscape of the Mackenzie mountains. The beauty of this river lies in the dense boreal forest, rocky riverbanks and subalpine terrain that is dramatically contrasted with the alpine tundra and open plateaus of the Bonnet Plume Range. The crystal-clear waters of the Bonnet Plume alternate between serene stretches and thrilling canyon rapids, offering a dynamic paddling experience for adventurous canoeists. Wildlife sightings are common, with moose, caribou, grizzly bears, and eagles often making appearances along the riverbanks. It is for whitewater canoeists with strong intermediate to advanced paddling and rescue skills and a keen sense for adventure.

What Guests Are Saying

Thank you for such an amazing trip. I still get a huge smile when I tell stories to my friends and family and everybody has commented that I “have a peacefulness about me” that wasn’t there before.
