Overview

The Yukon River flows north and west all the way to the Bering Strait through some of the wildest terrain in the world and is best known for assisting the gold seekers during the Klondike Gold Rush. Our Yukon River Expedition is 16 days on the river and takes you from Whitehorse to Dawson. Admire the vast wilderness surrounding you, and enjoy the opportunity to see wildlife including grizzly bear, wolf, moose, caribou, wolverine, mink, bald eagle, and beaver.
Relive the past in the adventures of the present! The Yukon River is best known for assisting the gold seekers during the Klondike Gold Rush. As you paddle down this historic river you will canoe through many famous Yukon landmarks such as Lake Laberge (made famous by poet Robert Service), Thirty Mile River, and Hootalinqua and Fort Selkirk. You will see relics of several steamships, old settler cabins, and gold dredges on the banks along the river. The Yukon River flows north all the way to the Bering Strait through some of the wildest terrain in the world! As well as being the site of an abundance of historical sights, the Yukon River winds through a beautiful natural area. Starting upriver from Lake Laberge in the Yukon Plateau region, you will admire the vast wilderness surrounding you, and have the opportunity to see wildlife including grizzly bear, wolf, moose, caribou, wolverine, mink, bald eagle, and beaver.
