Overview
This is an immersive 2-day course in the scenic Calgary/Kananaskis area. This program aims to provide participants with comprehensive instruction in kayak touring and sea kayak basics. Over the weekend, you'll gain proficiency in various sea kayak solo and assisted rescues, master basic paddling skills, and learn boat control. Additionally, we'll cover trip planning, gear/boat essentials, kayak packing, and weather considerations.
The course concludes with a picturesque paddle on a stunning mountain lake. By the end, you'll feel confident and equipped to organize and execute 1-2 day sea kayak trips safely, making it an ideal preparation for ocean adventures too.
