Overview

The Nahanni River is an iconic Canadian wilderness canoeing experience. While we do not offer guided trips on the Nahanni River, we support paddlers with the logistics and gear rentals to explore this river on their own. As your northern canoe experts, we would be pleased to help with you with custom canoe training, rentals, and shuttles to get you to your adventure.
We offer: 1. Canoe & Gear rentals. We offer 16' and 17' prospector canoes with skid plates and knee pads. We carry spray-decks, camping gear, and everything else you need to outfit your journey down the Nahanni. Our gear is expedition-grade, in good condition, and offered in Yellowknife and Fort Simpson. 2. Whitewater Canoe Training. The Nahanni River has non-technical rapids with big waves in long canyons. We can tailor a custom-canoe course for your group in Yellowknife as a warm-up for your trip. We'll focus on whitewater skills and rescue techniques specifically for your trip conditions on the Nahanni River. 3. Road Shuttles. It's a scenic shuttle from Yellowknife to Fort Simpson with opportunities to spot wood bison, cross the Mackenzie River Bridge, and stop at the scenic Sambaa Deh Falls Territorial Park. We can also arrange for a vehicle or boat shuttle pick-up at the end of your trip.
