Quito Airport/Hotel
Tena/Archidona, Kayak Ecuador's Headquarters
7 Days of pure fun and whitewater! Forget about logistics, we've got it all covered! Check out the details...
Day 1:
Hotel/Airport Pick Up and Transfer to Tena. Kayak selection & Briefing. Optional Run during the Afternoon + Welcome Dinner Quito, the capital of the country is located 3 hours away from our Headquarters. We are going to travel from the Andean city of Quito (9 350,4 ft) to the Amazon basin.
Day 2:
Descent of Jatun Yacu & Napo River. Today is a good day to warm up in one of the most friendly and popular runs in the area. This big water pool drop river, has some big waves and powerful hydraulics if the water is up. At low water, it is much easier and a bit more technical.
Day 3:
Descent of Upper Misahuallí River. This is our backyard run and probably one of the best runs in the country. Logistics are easy today...we can finish breakfast and walk down the stairs to start our run. We can do one big descent or laps if you fall in love with one section of the river.
Day 4:
Rest Day, discover the area, or book
Day 5:
Descent of Jondachi & Hollín River This is one of the premiere Class III/III+ jungle runs in the area. This run is very remote and has beautiful waterfalls spilling into the river, not to mention fun rapids all the way down. Probably the longest day of the week.
Day 6:
Descent of Piatúa River. This hidden Gem is located 45 min from the Lodge but every minute inside the car is worth it. Full of round boulders and as many lines as you can imagine the Piatua river will provide a memorable run in Ecuador
Day 7:
Optional descent & Transfer to Quito After a short but fun run we will drive you back to the capital for you to keep enjoying Ecuador or to catch your flight back home
