Quito Airport/Hotel
Tena/Archidona, Kayak Ecuador's Headquarters
7 Days of pure fun and whitewater! Forget about logistics, we've got it all covered! Check out the details...
Day 1:
Hotel/Airport Pick Up and Transfer to Tena. Quito, the capital of the country is located 3 hours away from our Headquarters. We are going to travel from the Andean city of Quito (9 350,4 ft) to the Amazon basin. Breiefing, lunch and welcome dinner.
Day 2:
Warm up! Relaxing day on a Class II-III run on the Rio Napo. We make sure to take you through the most beautiful places on the river with a very high level of safety.
Day 3:
Descent of Jatun Yacu & Napo rivers. This section provides amazing class III rapids, with big waves and amazing jungle views.
Day 4:
Descent of Jondachi & Hollín rivers. This Class III+ IV Day is packed with fun rapids of both creek and big water features. We go deep into the jungle with local porters to put in in the remote Jondachi river. A full day with 2 rivers and more than 40 Rapids.
Day 5:
Rest day, discover the area or book a massage! Enjoy the Lodge and Relax; Book a massage, go swimming in the Misahualli river or just chill in your cabin to recover for your last day of paddling.
Day 6:
Descent of Quijos river or Piatua Depending on levels we will choose the right river. Both runs have sections with class III+ and IV.
Day 7:
Hot Springs & Quito Transfer After breakfast we head back to the highlands but before we stop in Papallacta Hot Springs. Right next to Antisana Volcano, these hot springs are the perfect place to relax before your flight back home.
