Itinerary

Meeting Place

Alder Bay RV Park & Marina

Alder Bay, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Day 1:

Rise and shine ready for fun and adventure. After meeting our water taxi and a safety briefing, our captain will take us through the islands and into Blackfish Sound— the heart of orca territory. Settle into your new home for the next 5 days after a camp orientation.

Day 2:

After a hearty camp breakfast we will meet to discuss our plans for each day. Our route and schedule will depend on weather conditions, wildlife viewing opportunities and group preferences. Generally, we set out in our kayaks after breakfast and paddle to one of the area’s many pocket beaches.

Day 3:

Another day, another adventure awaits. We will launch our kayaks once again for a day filled with exploration and opportunities to learn about our wildlife and coast. At the end of the day, settle into the lounge with a glass of wine and keep your ears open for humpback whales cruising by

Day 4:

The beauty of glamping is the flexibility an established site offers. Opt in to a paddle session, or choose to stay at camp for some chill time or hot tub soak. If you do jump into a kayak, you can expect to navigate winding channels, explore tiny islets and discover the true beauty of the coast.

Day 5:

This is our last day of exploration. After a final morning paddle we will pack up our things and soak up the last bit of tranquility before the water taxi arrives to transport us back to Alder Bay and the real world once again.
