All Inclusive Backcountry Canoe Trips & Wilderness Guide Training
Overview
Join us for an unforgettable canoe trip along the French River, one of Canada’s Heritage Rivers. This all-inclusive adventure features beginner-friendly whitewater, perfect for families or first-time paddlers. Travel at a relaxed pace, soak in stunning scenery, spot wildlife, and enjoy meaningful time together around the campfire. A truly unique way to experience Ontario’s wilderness.
The French River stretches 105 km from Lake Nipissing to Georgian Bay, carving a path through a rugged wilderness of interconnected lakes, gorges, rapids, and swifts. This diverse landscape, protected within French River Provincial Park, offers endless opportunities for paddling and exploration. Recognized as a Canadian Heritage River, it holds deep historical significance. First traveled by the Mississauga and Anishinabek Nations, the river later became a vital trade route for voyageurs during the fur trade era. As industries evolved, it also served as a key corridor for logging, linking Ontario’s interior to the Great Lakes.
