MHO Adventures
All Inclusive Backcountry Canoe Trips & Wilderness Guide Training
Overview
Escape the everyday and spend quality time with family on a true wilderness adventure. Ride the train into Spanish River Provincial Park, then paddle over 53 km of fun rapids together. Our guides will focus on teaching you the whitewater skills you need to navigate every rapid with confidence. This all-inclusive vacation is the perfect way for families to share adventure and create lasting memories together in the heart of nature.
The Spanish River flows 340km from two different sources, Biscotasi Lake forming the West branch, and Duke Lake forming the East branch. The branches join at “The Forks” and flow South into Lake Huron. The Spanish River has a rich natural and cultural history and is protected as a Provincial Park, today it is mostly used by recreational paddlers. Our Family Trip ends at the Elbow on the Spanish River, right before a series of mandatory portages and lift-overs.

What Guests Are Saying
We’ve come to expect great guides from our prior MHO trips, but this year definitely exceeded our expectations – terrific to be around, so positive, well organized and knowledgeable and their service level was off the charts! We’re already talking about what MHO trip we’d like to do next summer.
