Porto, Porto city
Our expedition starts in the region of the famous white wine Alvarinho. The green valley of the river Minho will present us with picturesque medieval villages with their beautiful Castles. Tasty food, excellent wine, a breathtaking landscape.. Explore with us this beautiful river and region.
Day 1:
“Welcome day” It´s the arrival day. If you are travelling by plane we will receive you at the airport (OPORTO) by our guides and they will take you to your hotel /accommodation. We will have time to visit the emblematic places of the city of Porto.
Day 2:
“The Picturesque town of Monção” This day will be filled with a beautiful train ride along the banks of the river Minho, enjoying the good local food and wine. We will have the opportunity to visit an Alvarinho white wine production farm.
Day 3:
“The expedition begins!” we will paddle about 16k to Valença, where the green landscape will leave us a feeling of gratitude.
Day 4:
"Between fortresses" The green landscape follows us every paddle to the medieval town of Vila Nova de Cerveira. Here we will visit the village inside the castle and the whole area, tasting good food and wine.
Day 5:
“The last stage” Today is the last day of our expedition, Caminha, our final destination, is the northernmost coastal town in Portugal. Here, the Minho river meets the sea. A nostalgic feeling invades the heart of each of us. Please have a look at all our expeditions on www.7riversexpeditions.com
