The Zêzere river is located in the centre of Portugal. The waters of the river reflect the green of the forests, creating a unique mirror of water. Beautiful landscape, good cuisine, good wine and accommodation in typical villages. You will paddle with us an exciting, spiritual and unique expedition
Day 1:
WELCOME DAY Day to rest from the plane or car trip and meet the team. Time to visit the Port wine cellars. Dinner in a typical restaurant.
Day 2:
ON THE WAY TO RIVER ZÊZERE We will stay over night in a comfortable accommodation. At night all information about the expedition will be given.
Day 3:
THE EXPEDITION BEGINS Today we will start our expedition on the Zêzere river. It will be approximately 13 km to Álvaro, where we will spend the night. Along our journey we will see many green fields and trees reflected in the crystal clear waters of the Zêzere.
Day 4:
FROM ÁLVARO TO VILA AMOREIRA The following morning, we will continue towards Vila Amoreira. The Zêzere continues to surprise by its calm and surrounding beauty. After 17 km of natural beauty, we arrive at our destination.
Day 5:
TOWARDS TO CABRIL DAM Today we will paddle towards the Cabril dam, where an unique moment awaits us... SURPRISE!
Day 6:
FROM FOZ DO ALGE TO DORNES Beautifully embraced by the Zêzere, Dornes is a picturesque village. Regarded as one of the most beautiful riverside villages. The History of Dornes dates back to the foundation of Portugal, deeply related to the Order of the Knights Templar in Portugal.
Day 7:
DORNES TO BLUE LAKE Today we will leave the Templar village of Dornes in the direction of the Blue Lake.
Day 8:
THE LAST JOURNEY Today is the last stage. The green valley of the river Zêzere accompanies us until the Castelo de Bode dam. In the evening, a nice dinner with local food and wine awaits us.
Day 9:
THE FINAL DESTINATION After a well deserved rest, we will go back to Porto. No time to say goodbye, but to see you soon! Please see our website for further details www.7riversexpeditions.com
